KUALA LUMPUR: Winners of last year's Shell Rimula Ultimate Stopover promotion were treated to an unforgettable five-day, four-night visit to Dubai.
The 11 Malaysians were part of a privileged group of 189 Shell Rimula customers from 19 countries feted for their contributions to making Shell Rimula the best-selling heavy duty diesel engine oil (HDDEO) brand in the world.
All that was required was to purchase selected Shell Rimula products and submit their entries online.
The exclusive programme included a dinner by the beach with a stunning view of the fifth-tallest hotel in the world, the Burj al-Arab; visit to the 125th floor of the Burj Khalifa - the world’s tallest building; off-road driving in the sand dunes and updates on the latest truck engine and lubricant technology innovations at the Dubai Astronomy Centre.
“It was an eye-opening experience, especially with the technology updates on diesel technology and other lubricants for heavy duty applications. We were given insights into real world testing of the product through extreme environments, loads and temperatures and other immersive activities,” said William Teo from Sibu.

According to Shell Lubricants (Malaysia and Singapore) general manager Baljit Singh, the Shell Rimula Ultimate Stopover was created to celebrate commitment to hard work and offered the opportunity for a once-in-a lifetime adventure that only Shell Rimula can give.
