PETALING JAYA: Sime Darby Auto Performance Sdn Bhd (SDAP) is celebrating its 10th anniversary in Malaysia this year.

To mark the occasion, customers will receive the 10 years SDAP special edition Porsche Driver’s Selection polo tee (while stocks last) when they place a booking for new or pre-owned Porsche model, or make a service appointment from now until Sept 17.

SDAP will also be running a creative contest on both its Facebook and Instagram accounts in tandem with its anniversary celebration.

Visit any Porsche Centre in Malaysia and take your most creative selfie with a Porsche vehicle in the showroom with your most creative congratulatory wish to SDAP for its tenth anniversary to be in the running to win ‘911 GT edition’ 1:18 diecast models from Porsche Driver’s Selection.

The contest is applicable to all Malaysians and other residents residing within Malaysia, aged 25 and above. Winners will be announced at the end of the campaign and will be notified via private message.

“We can’t help but feel a little nostalgic over all the Porsche moments we’ve created with our supporters and enthusiasts throughout the decade," said SDAP chief executive officer Christopher Hunter,

"From modest beginnings and only one Porsche Centre in Glenmarie at our inception, we’ve invested substantially to continue to grow our dealer network in major cities across the northern, central and southern region to bring new levels of quality customer and ownership experience.

"Starting from our very first local launch with the second generation Cayenne to the recent 718 Cayman GT4 and 718 Spyder launch, we hope to continue to achieve greater heights of sports car fascination and evolve the brand in the country even more with our iconic sports cars.”

CarSifu posted last September that the Taycan, Porsche's first electric sports car, would arrive in mid-2020. The company said the Taycan is on course for a Malaysian debut in 2020 but it would take place towards the later part of the year because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Starting out with a singular Porsche Centre in Glenmarie, the Porsche dealer network in Malaysia has since expanded a decade later. With the opening of Porsche Centre Sungai Besi, Porsche Centre Penang, the new flagship Porsche Centre Ara Damansara, as well as Porsche Centre Johor Bahru that is scheduled to commence operations next year.

Aiming to bring the total customer experience to a whole new level, SDAP is constantly offering more dynamic driving experiences, upgrading its current facilities to match its world-class Porsche products.
