Singer restored Porsches get Stuttgart support

STUTTGART: Singer, an independent niche player in restored Porsches, had scored a recognition from Porsche.

Its rebuilt Porsches whose engines are restored by third party tuners, will now be done by Porsche itself.

This move, which was reported by Carscoops, would be a thumb-up to Singer's Porsche projects by the manufacturer itself.

Although Porsche sells its engines to third parties to be used in racing, the sale to Singer is different as the restorer firm is not into motorsports and more interested in Porsche original manufactured blocks and tuned to meet specifications set by Singer.

The engines will be built at the Porsche Motorsport North America (PMNA) headquarters, south of Los Angeles, California.

However, Porsche engines under the Singer DLS, or Dynamics and Lightweight Study are not included in this move and will continue to be a product of Williams Advanced Engineering in the U.K.
