The track was recorded for Skoda earlier this year, and is based on the brand’s Driven by Something Different ethos - which champions individual spirit and self-confidence.
The anthem has received over 1,000,000 streams on Spotify and Apple Music, the highest weekly sales and streams since Changing in 2014.
Make Your Own Kind of Music was initially released as the soundtrack to Skoda’s TV ad for the launch of its Karoq SUV. The track also supports the brand’s Driver’s Seat Initiative, a partnership with The Prince’s Trust and Paloma Faith, which champions the creativity of young adults across Britain and helps them to harness their own individuality and creativity.
The single, which was not originally intended for release, has proven so popular that Sony not only released the song, but also retrospectively added it to Paloma’s number one album, The Architect. The music video has had over 1.3 million views on YouTube and continues to grow in popularity.
