Much of what will be showcased at the most prestigious event on the auto show circuit have already been divulged by the various car brands in the past weeks.

The 85th Geneva International Motor Show is being held at Palexpo, a convention centre located near the Geneva airport, offering seven halls and 102,000 square metres of exhibition space.

Some 130 new models and concept cars will be presented, with organisers forecasting visitor turnout at over 700,000. Last year's Geneva show attracted 670,000 visitors, a dip from the 2013 figure.

This year, some 900 vehicles will be on display, nearly a hundred of which already conform to the strict European Union emission norms that will come into effect in 2021.

The watchmaker TAG Heuer will pay homage to more than a hundred years of motor sports in a special interactive exhibition. The Car of the Year 2015, a prestigious prize awarded for more than 50 years by a jury of respected journalists, is be presented for the fourth time at the Geneva show.

CarSifu is here for the March 3-4 press preview of the show ahead of its public opening from March 5.
