TOKYO: The 2016 New York Auto Show has been chosen as the location for the global debut of an all-new production ready Subaru.
The Impreza is legendary for its blend of practicality and all-wheel-drive performance and although it's lost its way in recent years, company bosses are promising that the new car will right some of these recent wrongs.
In a statement accompanying the teaser image, company bosses said that the Impreza "has been completely redesigned inside and out, from upgraded in-car technology and a more spacious interior to its sleek new body design."
However, one thing that is remaining untouched is its active all-wheel drive system although it is expected to be mated to a more efficient yet equally potent boxer engine.
The new car will be revealed on March 23 during Subaru's press conference ahead of the New York Auto Show's official public opening on March 25.
