TOKYO: Suzuki has introduced its new two-seater light-commercial vehicle version of its small and lightweight off-roader - the Jimny for the European market.

Since its launch in 2018, the model has attracted both private and professional-users seeking an authentic off-road performer.

To further meet the needs of professionals, the new Jimny light commercial vehicle model now comes with a large luggage compartment with a flat floor and safety cargo partition.

The light commercial vehicle model features the same off-roading performance with its ladder-frame, tri-link rigid axle suspension, AllGrip Pro drive system and a part-time 4WD system with a low-range transfer gear.

Compared to the passenger vehicle model, with the rear seats folded down, the boot expands to 863 litres (+33 litres) and even comes with a safety partition to keep things from moving around.

The light commercial vehicle models have been equipped with the same safety features found in the passenger vehicle model such as Dual Sensor Brake Support (DSBS), hill hold and hill descent control.

Additionally, there's also eCall - an emergency messaging function which automatically activates after a serious collision has been experienced.
