Tesla Shooting Brake heading for London Motor Show

By CARSIFU | 1 February 2018

LONDON: The world’s first Tesla-based production Shooting Brake is coming to the London Motor Show in May.

The conversion is based on the Model S 90D and is done by carbon fibre coachbuilder QWest.

The QWest Shooting Brake carries over the Model S’s sharp 0-100kph time of 2.8 seconds but is 12kg lighter because carbon fibre is used. Its visible carbon fibre on the tailgate, rear roof section and D pillar mark it out against the standard car while adding strength and reducing weight.

It’s 209 litres larger than the standard 90D, and QWest has strived to ensure an integrated and elegant design. The Norfolk-based company is famed for setting the benchmark for a modern connotation of a traditional coachbuilder, using only carbon fibre in its operations.

The show takes place from May 17-20.
