By JAY WONG | 30 November 2017

BANGKOK: The Mercedes-AMG lineup has entered Thailand's borders and one of them is GT C - a convertible performance roadster from the German brand bearing the three-pointed star for its logo.

The roadster has a 175-litre boot and features a 4.0-litre (3,982cc) bi-turbo V6 engine under the hood, producing 557hp from 5,750 to 6,750rpm and 680Nm of torque from 1,900 to 5,000rpm, while mated to a seven-speed dual clutch sports transmission with paddle shifters.

All that performance gets the rear 20-inch 325/30 series tyres (front: 19-inch wrapped with 275/35 tyres) spinning to catapult the car from 0-100kph in 3.7 seconds before reaching a top speed of 317kph, while drinking from a 75-litre fuel tank.
