Thrilling race action at Toyota Gazoo Racing this weekend: October 20 - 21

SERDANG: Thrilling race action and a multitude of activities await spectators at Round 2 of the Toyota Gazoo Racing Festival and Malaysia’s premier street-racing series the Toyota Vios Challenge which will be held at the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang (MAEPS) in Selangor this weekend from Oct 20 (Day 1)  to 21 (Day 2) from 8am to 7pm.

The two-day festival will showcase the preview of a brand new Toyota Rush, test drives, promotions and celebrity performances to thrilling race action by racers competing in the Promotional, Sporting and Super Sporting classes respectively on a purpose-built street circuit.

The opening round of the Toyota Gazoo Racing Festival and the first two races of the Toyota Vios Challenge was held in Kuala Terengganu in August (Day 1 and Day 2) which attracted more than 20,000 spectators.

“Toyota is All About the Drive, and the Toyota Gazoo Racing Festival provides an ideal platform for our customers to experience this. We invite everyone to come see for themselves the reliability, durability, safety, competitiveness and performance of our vehicles, in particular the 1.5-litre Vios, in the hands of racers competing in the Toyota Vios Challenge,” said UMW Toyota Motor Sdn Bhd president Ravindran K.

“One of the highlights of the Toyota Gazoo Racing Festival at MAEPS, will be the exclusive preview and test drive/taxi ride of the All-new Toyota Rush, a 1.5-litre compact sports utility vehicle (SUV),” he added.

Activities for spectators include:

- Display and test drive of Toyota’s latest range of models
- All-new Toyota Rush Preview
- Concert by the Toyota Gazoo Racing celebrities,
- Promotional activities,
- Superfans Signing Session (a chance to mingle with the celebrity drivers),
- Appearance by Baby Shark mascot,
- Display and sales of merchandise booths,
- Stage games,
- Gathering of car clubs,
- Simulator racing challenge,
- Drift performance by Toyo Tyres
- Lucky draw.

After Kuala Terengganu in August and this weekend’s Round 2 at MAEPS, the festival is scheduled to travel to the Batu Kawan Stadium in Penang in February 2019; with the finale being contested at the Sepang International Circuit in April 2019.
