TNG PayDirect and RFID users get 20% rebate on toll

PETALING JAYA: From now until June 30, Touch ‘N Go (TNG) users who link their physical TNG cards to their TNG e-wallet will enjoy a 20% rebate at tolls across Duke Highway, Kemuning–Shah Alam Highway (LKSA) and Smart Tunnel.

The linking feature, billed as PayDirect by the company, allows users to connect up to three TNG cards to the TNG eWallet app to pay for toll, as well as other services that accepts the payment method.

The rebate is extended to existing PayDirect users, as well as new and existing RFID users. However, the rebate is limited to 10 toll trips only.

The maximum toll fare amount eligible for the rebate is RM3 per transaction, and users can only receive 20% rebate of the toll transaction or a maximum of RM0.60 (whichever is lower).

Those using the PayDirect feature will have to use the physical card, and not their smartphones, when entering toll lanes with TNG or SmartTag facilities. Fares will be deducted directly from the e-wallet. The rebate will be credited into the users TNG e-wallet accounts.

TNG is planning to make the PayDirect payment feature available on most highways, starting with those in the Klang Valley including the Damansara-Puchong Expressway (LDP), New Pantai Expressway (NPE), Maju Expressway (MEX), and more.
