SHAH ALAM: UMW Toyota Motor Sdn Bhd announced today it has registered healthy sales of 6,637 units for July.
It comprised 6,624 Toyota units, while Lexus recorded total sales of 13 units.
Total year-to-date sales up to July stood at 52,548 units, compared to 35,561 units (Toyota + Lexus) for year-to-date sales registered in July 2021, a 48% increase from the previous year.
The Hilux has remained the best-selling pick-up truck in Malaysia since 2005, recording total sales of 1,788 units in July.
UMW Toyota Motor president Ravindran K said the company is focused on ensuring prompt vehicle delivery.
For August, the Toyota distributor is having a
Yaris and Vios promotion, offering benefits worth RM4,000 on top of cash rebates.
The automaker expects sales to steadily increase as Malaysians take advantage of deals and savings to upgrade to new cars.
