SHAH ALAM: UMW Toyota has provided its full-sized Toyota Fortuner sport utility vehicle (SUV) with a number of styling updates along with the addition of new optional accessories and two new colours.

The Fortuner 2.5G (diesel) and 2.7V (petrol) are both priced on-the-road with insurance at RM172,122.20, while the TRD Sportivo variants costs RM175,580.20 and RM179,841.30 respectively.

For this year, the changes include a dark bezel for the redesigned headlamps and rear combination lamps, integrated LED daytime running lights, two new colours of Attitude Black and Grey Metallic and black woodgrain for the 2.7V.

UMW Toyota has also included a new seven-inch touchscreen DVD audio-video navigation (DVD-AVN) system with a reverse camera as an added option.

The system comes included with other capabilities such as air gestures, voice recognition and navigation maps for Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei.

Android or iOS-based smartphones are able to interface with the head unit via WiFi and ‘surf’ the internet with an in-built browser application.

Bluetooth connectivity has also been included, which provides wireless music streaming and hands-free calls.

A HDMI port (for selected smartphones) has also been included as well as Miracast, which allows screen mirroring of supported applications such as Waze or Google Maps.

Entertainment can also be extended to the back with the optional Rear Seat Entertainment (RSE) System - either as a ceiling-mounted monitor with an integrated DVD player or a lone monitor that interfaces with the DVD-AVN system.

Last but not least, a portable tyre pump has also been included in the list of optional accessories to help re-inflate a tyre - regardless of it being at home or at a remote location.

The Toyota Fortuner comes with a three-year or 100,000km warranty (whichever comes first).
