SHAH ALAM: UMW Toyota Motor has announced that order taking for the Toyota RAV4 has begun.
From June 10 onwards, the winner of the 2019 Japan Car of the Year award will be available for order and comes in two variants - a 2.0 and 2.5-litre variant.
The RAV4 is estimated to be priced on-the-road without insurance at RM196,500 and RM215,700 respectively due to the recent revision on the sales tax exemption by the Government.
The RAV4 has been completely redesigned and has been touted to offer a safe, secure, comfortable, and convenient drive experience with the power and sophistication of a premium Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV).
The fifth-generation RAV4 has been developed with Dynamic Force Engine that's been coupled with the use of the Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) platform.
In terms of kit, the company says that this SUV comes with Toyota Safety Sense features that include other systems such as Pre-Collision System (PCS), Lane Departure Alert (LDA) with Steering Assist, Lane Tracing Assist (LTA), and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC) for All Speed as well as Automatic High Beam (AHB) and a Kick Sensor Power Back Door (powered tailgate with hands-free operation) among others.
