KUALA LUMPUR: The Trevo people-to-people car sharing marketplace is offering rent-a-car promotions until April 14 for practical vehicles with a daily rate of below RM300.
Under the TrevoCares Pass promotion, the TrevoPass #1 pass allows you to keep the car for 7 days at the rental cost equivalent of 5 days. Just use the TRAVELSAFE1 code when you make your booking.
The second option is TrevoPass #2, which allows you to use the car for 14 days, but only pay for 8 days of rental. To choose this option, use the TRAVELSAFE2 code when you book.
This promotion is in conjunction with the Movement Control Order to contain the Covid-19 pandemic.
Also, Trevo will disinfect the cars by wiping down steering wheels, door handles and shift sticks before handing the car over to both users and hosts.
With the Trevo app, users can book cars from the nearest hosts in the Trevo community.
The Trevo app can be downloaded via the Google Play or Apple App Store.
Trevo also advises that if you have to go out, do avoid crowds and practice social distancing.
Don’t forget to observe these tips:
> Maintain at least a 1 metre distance between yourself and anyone around you when you are out in public places .
> Wash your hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or use a hand sanitiser with at least 60% alcohol content to kill viruses that may be on your hand . Make sure to rub your hands until the sanitiser dries, don’t wipe it off!
> Wipe down commonly touched areas of the car such as the steering wheel, stick shift and door handles every time you use the car.
