PETALING JAYA: Toyota distributor UMW Toyota Motor hasn't announce price revisions for its cars yet but it sought to reassure customers that potential cost savings will be passed on to prospective car buyers.
Its president, K. Ravindran, said any relief and benefit from the new tax structure will be passed on to customers and "any price revision will be considered in the best interest of its customers."
The Pakatan Harapan government recently announced that the Goods and Services Tax (GST) is to be set at zero percent with effect from June 1. It will be replaced by the Sales and Services Tax (SST) to be announced at a future date.
