KUALA LUMPUR: Naza Italia, the official importer and distributor for Maserati in Malaysia, announced that the Ghibli is now available in two distinct trims for both the 350hp Ghibli and 430hp Ghibli S variants.

The new trims are available as the GranLusso and GranSport and are available as an optional extra at RM50,000 each, upping the basic Ghibli's price from RM618,800 to RM668,800 and the Ghibli S from RM718,800 to RM768,800 - all prices mentioned include local taxes and duties.

Also, the Ghibli model range is covered by a five-year standard warranty with unlimited mileage plus a Free five-year or 100,000km (whichever comes first) maintenance program - inclusive of *Maserati Premium Service Plus of 3 Years/60,000KM).

The standard Ghibli stands apart from the outgoing 2017 model by having re-styled (larger and wider) air ducts, new front and rear bumpers that help improve its drag coefficient by 7% (dropping it from 0.31 to 0.29Cd), while the GranLusso trim adds on adaptive LED headlights, front chrome bumper inserts, GranLusso badge at the base of the front wing, body-colour side skirts, silver brake calipers and 20-inch Urano Diamond alloy wheels.

Inside, it's patented mulberry silk from Ermenegildo Zegna for the seat inserts, door panels, roof lining and ceiling light fixture along with Ebano wood trim and an Ebony wood-finished leather steering wheel that's power adjustable, 12-way powered comfort seats and soft closing doors.

The Ghibli GranSport, on the other hand, features two wings virtually supporting the enlarged grille with 'sharknose' profile and integrated chrome bars that separate the central splitter from the side air ducts.

Also thrown in are the full LED headlights, black piano inserts on the front bumper, the GranSport badge on the front wing, body-colour side skirts, blue inserts on all Trident and Saetta logos, red brake calipers and 21-inch Titano Anthracite alloy wheels.

The cabin sports the 12-way power full leather seats and Sport steering wheel create paddle-shifters and Inox sport foot pedals.

Furthermore, the Ghibli and Ghibli GranSport can be further customised with an exterior carbon package that include the external door mirrors, B- and C-pillar, door handles, front splitter and rear spoiler.

Under the hood, the 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 engine, mated to an eight-speed ZF (AT8-HP70) automatic transmission, has been re-tuned.

The standard Ghibli provides 350hp at 5,500rpm and 500Nm of torque at 4,500rpm, allowing it to sprint from 0-100kph in 5.5 seconds before reaching a top speed of 267kph.

As for the Ghibli S, it now plays to the tune of 430hp (+20hp) at 5,500rpm and 580Nm (30Nm) from 2,250 to 4,000rpm, and deos the century spring in 4.9 seconds instead while its top speed is now at 286kph.

As standard, the Ghibli has adopted Bosch's Integrated Vehicle Control (IVC) (also found in the Quatroporte. to help prevent vehicle instability as well as introduced an Electric Power Steering (EPS) as well as an optionally available Advanced Driving Assistance Systems (ADAS).

In addition to the existing features, it includes functions that include Highway Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Active Blind Spot Assist and Traffic Sign Recognition.
