KUALA LUMPUR: Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) has launched its online showroom for Malaysia.
This follows the company's recent response to the government's implementation of the Movement Control Order (MCO) until April 14, where all Volkswagen dealerships nationwide have been closed to ensure the safety of customers as well as its employees.
“The safety of our customers and employees are our top priority and it is crucial that we each play our part in overcoming this global pandemic," said VPCM managing director Erik Winter.
The online showroom looks to bring a "dealership" right to the customers' fingertips and is currently offering a special online deal for budding car buyers on its Volkswagen eShowroom as well as its flagship store on Lazada for the month of April.
The deals start with the Polo 1.6 and Vento Highline sedan which receives a total savings of RM4,500 (RM3,000 standard savings and RM1,500 online savings).
The Vento Comfortline gets RM7,500 of total savings instead that's made up of a standard savings of RM3,000 coupled with an online saving of RM1,500.
Fans of the Beetle will be happy to note that it receives a total savings of RM8,000 (RM5,000 standard and RM3,000 online savings) while the Golf 1.4 TSI R-Line only gets an online savings of just RM3,500.
Moving up the order to the Golf GTI and R models, they too will receive a total savings of RM8,000 (RM2,000 standard and RM6,000 online savings).
Opting for the Passat Elegance will save buyers a total of RM6,000 (RM2,000 standard and RM4,000 online savings) and will also bring with it a free one-year insurance coverage worth RM5,500.
Lastly, in the mid-sized sport utility territory, the Tiguan will also provide the same RM6,000 savings and comes with a free one-year insurance worth RM4,500 as well as a free one-year petrol rebate worth RM2,500.
"The Volkswagen eShowroom was created to offer our customers an alternative solution for those still interested in purchasing a Volkswagen during this MCO, with attractive deals which we believe will ease the purchasing process for our customers,” added Winter.
