Volkswagen's 'Polo P' project returns!

KUALA LUMPUR: Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) is back with its “Polo P” project after having embarked on a mission in March to help educate and empower new drivers with the skills and knowledge to stay safe on the road.

The project is open to all students and members of the public with a valid driver's license.

There are currently 250 participants consisting of students from private tertiary institutions and young adults around the Klang Valley.

It will be held at selected college and university campuses over the course of a weekend,

There, participants will be taught the basics of car maintenance, visual checkpoints, proper sitting and steering positions as well as defensive driving , which includes emergency braking, and a slalom course.

All driving exercises will be conducted with a Volkswagen Polo 1.6-litre hatchback at the following locations:

  • July 8 to 9 - Taylor’s Lakeside Campus

  • August 19 to 20 - Sunway College, Johor Bahru

  • Sept 30 to Oct 1 - University Malaya, KL

  • Oct 21 to 22 - UiTM, Shah Alam

  • Oct 28 to 29 - UTAR Campus, Kampar, Perak


Also, in line with the project, the company will be running a special “My First Polo” program for first time car buyers.

Participants will be able to purchase a Volkswagen Polo 1.6L from RM470 per month with the German brand's partner bank.

Aside from the Polo hatchback, VPCM also recently launched its Polo ALLSTAR, priced from RM72,888 and comes in four colour options of Carbon Steel Grey, Reflex Silver, Candy White and Flash Red.

The Polo ALLSTAR comes equipped with RM6,000 worth of exclusive sports accessories such as leather seats, aluminium pedals, rear spoiler, black door strips, ‘ALLSTAR’ scuff plates, emblems and carpet mats.
