NEW YORK: Whether owners drive a vintage Volvo from 1959 or a slick new 2019 S90, it doesn't matter - everyone who driver a Volvo can now get their car towed for free for life.
On Tuesday, Volvo announced that roadside towing in the US is now free for life for all Volvo models old or new.
While the Tow for Life service has been available to Volvo owners during their car's warranty period, it's been expanded this week to post-warranty customers regardless of the age of their vehicle for "no additional fee."
Under this programme, vehicles will be towed to the nearest participating Volvo retailer to ensure that "cars will be taken to experts who use genuine Volvo parts and repair methods," Head of Customer Service for Volvo Car USA Scott Doering said in a statement.
According to Doering, "This will get the customer back on the road faster and provide assurance that the repair was done right."
Customers can call for a tow via Volvo Customer care at 1-800-550-5658 or through the Volvo On Call smartphone app.
