PARIS: A Honda Civic Type R belonging to Max Verstappen, the 2021 Formula 1 world champion, will go up for sale on the Internet to benefit Red Bull's Wings for Life nonprofit foundation.
Freshly crowned F1 world champion for the first time in controversial conditions after the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, Max Verstappen is now parting ways with his company car. His Civic Type R is going on sale at CarNext.com, the driver's partner for two seasons.
Max Verstappen used this car to travel around during the different stages of the world championship, mainly between his hotel and the paddock. Like all the vehicles on the CarNext.com platform, this car was checked and fully reconditioned before being put up for sale. The champion himself checked that it was in working order.
The car sales platform intends to put this Honda Civic Type R 'Max Verstappen Edition' up for sale on Dec 23, 2021, at a price of €33,333, on a "first come, first served" basis. The vehicle purchased will be delivered directly to the buyer's home.
Proceeds of this sale will be donated in full to the Wings for Life nonprofit foundation, which aims to find a cure for spinal cord injuries.
