Where fine wine and Rolls go together

LONDON: This is a capital idea that would work only with prestige cars.

A British dealer H.R. Owen partnered with luxury champagne brand Armand de Brignac for a Rolls-Royce Motor Cars London tasting event on Nov 25, where over 40 customers enjoyed a rare tasting of the prestige cuvées with like-minded luxury car enthusiasts.

The VIP guests were among the first consumers in the world to preview the rare and newly released Champagne Armand de Brignac Blanc de Noirs Assemblage Two (A2). Only 2,333 bottles of the collectable cuvée were created.

Midway through the evening, Champagne Armand de Brignac CEO Sebastien Besson announced that he would fill the boots of the two Rolls-Royce cars purchased at the event with the champagne.

Over £30,000 (RM166,000) worth of champagne filled the boots of the purchased Ghost Black Badge and the Wraith, and as Champagne Armand de Brignac is widely regarded as the ‘Rolls-Royce of champagne’, it was a fitting union.

And with the Ghost and Wraith having boot capacities of 490 and 470 litres respectively, there was plenty of room to fill the back of the cars with the one of the finest champagnes in the world.
