The all-new model, which projects a more aggressive look with taut lines, is available from the range-topping TRD Sportivo to the G, E and J trim lines.

It gets the 1.5-litre engine with 109PS and 141Nm of torque used in the current Vios line-up which is well-known for its balance between performance and fuel economy.
Transmission is a four-speed automatic for all trim lines. The J trim can also be ordered with a five-speed manual gearbox.
While having the same wheelbase as the outgoing model, the new Vios is slightly longer and promises a larger interior and trunk space.
Using the tagline “Value Beyond Belief” for the Vios, UMW Toyota Motor president Datuk Ismet Suki said the new model is a car with quality at an affordable price that owners can be proud of.

The car’s suspension and steering system have been upgraded for greater comfort and handling stability while higher trim line variants will come with Smart Entry and Push Start Button.
UMW Toyota Motor said there will be no price increase for the J trim line and a minimal price increase for the TRD Sportivo, G and E variants.
Estimated on-the-road prices are RM93,200, for the TRD Sportivo automatic, G automatic (RM88,500), E automatic (RM82,900), J automatic (RM77,300) and J manual (RM73,200).
The Vios is assembled at UMW Toyota Motor’s manufacturing facility, Assembly Services Sdn Bhd (ASSB) in Shah Alam since the model was first introduced in 2003.
