Tesla Malaysia cuts Model 3 and Y prices by RM8,000


KUALA LUMPUR: Tesla Malaysia has reduced the prices of its Model 3 and Model Y lineup by RM8,000 to make them more accessible to a broader range of audience.

The Model 3 Rear-Wheel Drive now comes with on-the-road without registration fee of RM181,000 while the Long Range AWD variant is priced at RM210,000.

For the Model Y lineup, the Rear-Wheel Drive costs RM191,000, Long Range AWD (RM238,000) and Performance AWD (RM280,000).

However, the latest Model 3 Performance AWD which was opened for booking on Wednesday will maintain its price of RM242,000.

Tesla vehicles are eligible for full import and excise duties exemption, as well as 100% road tax exemption, and income tax relief up to RM2,500 for expenses related to electric vehicles charging.

The company said it would continue to provide a comprehensive ownership experience through its seamless charging solutions and technology integration where "Plug and Charge" is best to describe Tesla charging experience.

Through the Tesla App, users can easily locate, navigate to, and monitor the status of Superchargers, with payments processed automatically.

With a pay-per-use Supercharging fee of RM1.25/kWh, Tesla ensures cost-efficient charging.

Tesla Malaysia has seven Supercharging stations with 36 chargers and 10 Destination Charging stations with 61 chargers in Malaysia, with ongoing expansion to facilitate travel between Malaysia and Singapore, where there are 11 Supercharging stations and 9 Destination Charging stations.
