PETALING JAYA: Bentley Kuala Lumpur announces its relocation plan in preparation for the arrival of the Bentayga and the limited edition GT Black Speed by Mulliner.

Bentley's first luxury sport utility vehicle made its Southeast Asian debut in Singapore in April, priced at S$900,000 (RM2.58mil without COE). It is likely to be priced at around RM1.9mil when it goes on sale in Malaysia.

The limited edition GT Black Speed is based on the Continental GT Speed, but has been dressed up for a more aggressive look with black being the dominant colour complemented by red accents.

The return of the Bentley brand to Malaysia in 2009 saw the introduction of an iconic Bentley showroom in the heart of Kuala Lumpur's Golden Triangle.

The Bentley Gallery at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur was a unique platform for Meridian Magic Sdn Bhd (official importer of Bentley Motorcars) to not only unveil a series of new models over the years, but also provided customers and the Malaysian public an intimate access to the British luxury automotive brand.

"The (Bentley) Gallery has been our home for the past 8 glorious years" said Bentley Kuala Lumpur marketing & communications manager Andrew Wong.

"When Pavilion (Kuala Lumpur) informed us of their future plans for Lot 2.68, we saw the opportunity to refresh our Bentley showroom in preparation for the arrival of the new Bentley SUV, Bentayga."

To facilitate the relocation, the Bentley Gallery at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur will be closed for business after Aug 12.

"Bentayga is a Bentley unlike any other and a definite game changer for us," said Wong. "Seventy percent of our Bentayga customers are completely new to Bentley so it makes perfect sense for us to introduce this exciting model in an all-new environment, despite the temporary interruption in operations.

"The striking new showroom design will be bold and communicate Bentley's brand values clearly, incorporating traditional craftsmanship in a contemporary space."

The progressive moving in process to Etiqa Twins is scheduled to start in September, with its official opening planned for October 2016.
