SHAH ALAM: A woman has been appointed to head Scania Southeast Asia.

Marie Sjödin Enström replaces James Armstrong as the new managing director.

A Swede, Enström began her career with Scania in 1984. Her last position was as managing director of Scania Assistance at Scania CV AB, Sweden where she was the global head and was responsible for eight centres in Europe and Latin America.

“I am looking forward to lead Scania Southeast Asia into maintaining its leading position in the truck and bus market of this robust and developing region," said the mother of two.

Armstrong ended his five-year tenure and will be re-assigned to Prague to head Scania's central European operations.
