SINTOK: It was Vinod Dhanabala Singham (supermoto champion 2013) who managed to keep two former cub-prix riders at bay to win both races of the second round of the KTM 390 Duke Battle.

Held on the weekend of June 13 till 14, the event saw 15 racers vying for the win with Muhammad Imran Zulkafli taking second place earning himself RM500 and Nurahmad Fariz Nazreen taking third with RM300.

Imran kept pressure on race-leader Vinod who earned himself RM700 that weekend, but was unable to force an error.

Prior to Saturday’s practice and qualifying round, about 200 KTM Duke owners met and convoyed from a KTM dealership – Bike Station in Alor Setar, Kedah.

A KTM X-Bow led the convoy, which made a visit to the KTM factory before arriving at the UUM (Universiti Utara Malaysia) go-kart circuit.

At present, with six more rounds left, only 12 rider-placements are currently available for riders finishing first or second.

This will secure their seat to race in the final round of the KTM 390 Duke Battle in Sepang this December.

The riders will be competing for the Grand Prize of a KTM 200 Duke (Non-ABS), worth over RM16,000.
