Updated Mazda MX-5 RF at RM260K: More power and connectivity

SHAH ALAM: The Mazda MX-5 RF (hardtop) has been updated with better features and more power.

Imported from Japan, it is priced at RM260,354 (six-speed auto) and RM259,154 (six-speed manual) on-the-road without insurance, and comes with 5-years manufacturer warranty or 100,000km (whichever is first) as well as 5-years free maintenance or 100,000km (whichever is first) including labour, parts and lubricants.

The MX-5’s Skyactiv-G 2.0-litre engine now produces 181hp at 7,000 rpm – a 17 percent improvement – and 205Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm, with a richer torque curve throughout the rev range.

The MX-5 aims to be quicker, more responsive and more engaging to drive.

It now receives Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard - accessible via its Mazda Connect Infotainment display.

Other upgrades include black metallic 17-inch wheels and a new telescopic steering wheel (42mm of travel).

The colour line-up includes Soul Red Crystal, Machine Gray, Jet Black, Snowflake White Pearl, Eternal Blue, Ceramic Metallic and Artic White.
