Bookings open for new Proton Saga: Estimated RM40K to RM50K

SHAH ALAM: The new Proton Saga is now open for bookings, with indicative prices from RM40,000 to RM50,000.

Available in Standard, Executive, and Premium variants, the new Saga is offered in five colours – Marine Blue, Space Grey, Ruby Red, Armour Silver and Snow White.

Those who place a booking for the new Saga from Nov 10, 2025 until the official launch date, and complete vehicle registration by Dec 31, 2025, will be among the first 20,000 actual buyers to enjoy these exclusive early booking offers:

  • One-year free service or 20,000km, whichever comes first (inclusive of labour and service parts)
  • Limited Edition new Saga Touch ‘n Go card

Also, Proton is organising the Ikonik Together-Gather nationwide — a pre-launch activation celebrating the new Saga through Malaysia’s love for food, lifestyle, and community.

Running from Nov 14 to 23, 2025, the activities will travel across key regions and blend local flavours, cultural experiences, and on-ground KOL (key opinion leader) engagements.

Developed on the new Advanced Modular Architecture (AMA) platform, the new Saga is the first model to be fully designed, engineered, and validated in Malaysia, with technical collaboration from Geely following the partnership established in 2018.

Proton says this highlights the national automaker's growing independence in product development, full ownership of intellectual property rights (IPR), and readiness for future intelligent and autonomous technologies.

Carrying the tagline “Intelligence That Thrills,” the new Saga is billed as setting new standards in safety, connectivity, and refinement within Malaysia’s A-segment sedan category.

Proton deputy CEO Datuk Abdul Rashid Musa said, "The new Saga showcases how Malaysian engineering has matured — transforming Proton from a symbol of national pride into a global automotive contender.”

Powered by a new i-GT 1.5-litre engine with a continuously variable transmission (CVT), the new Saga promises fuel consumption of 4.9 litres per 100km (based on MDC or Malaysia Driving Cycle).

It has a new electric power steering (EPS), and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) with nine intelligent safety functions, six airbags, as well as Proton’s Reinforced Safety Structure (RESS) with Hot Press Forming (HPF) components.

A new 16-inch integrated dual screen combines the digital instrument cluster and infotainment display, now with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Smart conveniences include auto headlamps, Follow-Me-Home lighting, and headlamp levelling.

With full LED projector headlamps, an LED rear taillight, and a refreshed cabin design, the new Saga blends modern sophistication with Malaysian identity — highlighted by its Front Grille with ‘Sulaman Songket’ motif and two-tone 15-inch alloy wheels.
