Denza Malaysia surpasses 1K deliveries


KUALA LUMPUR: The Denza D9 all-electric seven-seater multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) has seen deliveries of 1,002 units in Malaysia since its debut in February this year.

Denza Malaysia said this marked a major milestone, and reinforced the D9 as "one of the most desirable luxury MPVs in the premium electric mobility segment".

BYD's luxury intelligent electric vehicle brand is also preparing to expand its portfolio in 2026 with more new models in Malaysia.

“Crossing the 1,000-unit mark in under a year reflects the trust Malaysian customers have placed in Denza and the strong appeal of the D9,” said BYD Malaysia managing director Eagle Zhao.

“We are committed to delivering an elevated luxury EV (electric vehicle) experience," he added.


Interested buyers can enjoy benefits including a RM15,000 trade-up offer or 0% interest financing for the D9.

The D9 is priced at RM259,000 (Advanced FWD or front wheel drive variant) and RM309,000 (Premium AWD or all-wheel drive variant).

It has a 103.6kWh LFP "Blade" battery, and driving range (NEDC) is 600km (Advanced FWD variant) and 580km (Premium AWD variant).

It supports 11kW AC charging and 166kW DC fast charging.

The Advanced variant has a front electric motor producing 230kW (312PS) and 360Nm of torque.

The Premium AWD with front and rear electric motors has total system output of 275kWh (374PS)and 470Nm of torque.

The Advanced FWD variant can do the 0 to 100kph sprint in 9.5 seconds while the Premium AWD variant is quicker at 6.9 seconds.
