Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride draws nationwide crowds

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia’s 2026 edition of the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride (DGR) drew more than 1,500 riders nationwide, with Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Johor Bahru and Kota Kinabalu among the key cities participating in the global charity ride supporting men’s mental health and prostate cancer research.

Organised with support from Triumph Motorcycles Malaysia, this year’s event raised RM19,233 locally while showcasing one of the largest turnouts yet for the annual ride in Malaysia.

A strong contingent of Triumph modern classics took part, including the Triumph Bonneville T120, Triumph Scrambler 1200, Triumph Speed Twin 1200, Triumph Bobber and Triumph Thruxton RS, alongside riders from multiple brands and riding groups across the country.

While DGR is commonly associated with vintage fashion and custom motorcycles, the 2026 Malaysian edition highlighted the growing scale of organised charity motorcycling events in Southeast Asia, reflecting how the region’s riding community is increasingly using large-scale gatherings to support social and health-related causes.
