KUALA LUMPUR: Great Wall Motor (GWM) Malaysia has refreshed its all-electric Ora Good Cat lineup with a revised interior and more affordable pricing.
The model range, assembled in Thailand, now starts with the standard Ora Good Cat Ultra that's priced on-the-road without insurance at a more attainable RM109,800.

Meanwhile, the new range-topper is the sporty Ora Good Cat GT, which is now similarly priced at RM119,800.
Previously, this hatchback was available as the Good Cat 400 Pro and 500 Ultra, which were priced at RM113,800 and RM143,800, respectively, under the company's A-meow-zing package in 2024.

Ora represents GWM's all-electric vehicle range, including the Ora 07 sedan.
From now until Dec 31, the Good Cat comes with an early-bird package that provides a RM3,000 rebate - so long as registrations are completed by the end of the period.
For warranty, the lineup is covered by a six-year or 150,000km warranty, while the battery is covered by an eight-year or 180,000km warranty.

For colour options, buyers get a choice of Hazel Wood Beige (brown roof) with a brown/rice combination colour for the interior.
Opting for Pistachio Green means the interior gets a green/rice combination.
A new So Blue (black roof) colour is now available, which entails five-spoke 18-inch wheels in gloss-black with yellow-painted callipers for contrast, and the interior gets a green/grey colour combination.

The GT variant is only available in two colour choices of Aqua Grey and Sun Black while the interior stays a constant black with yellow accents.
Externally, the Ultra remains identical to its predecessors with changes found predominantly in the cabin.
Fans of the Good Cat will realise there's a new centre console that now features a wireless charging tray instead of a rotary gear selector, which is now a stalk located behind the steering wheel on the right side.

Support for My GWM app is now standard.
Making its debut in Malaysia, the GT variant features a more sportier outlook over the Ultra with faux carbon-fibre parts found on the wheel arches, side skirts, lower rear bumper section and front splitter.
Yellow accents are also present for contrast on the front splitter, external mirror caps, wheels, "diffuser", and rear spoiler on top of the powered tailgate.

This is mirrored within the cabin, particularly on the dashboard and door cards, as well as around the edges of the front sports seats with integrated headrests marked with "GT" stitching and ventilation.
Going deeper, the GT's single electric motor with 171PS and 250Nm of torque, sends the grunt to the front wheels.
The electric motor of the Ultra delivers 143PS and 210Nm of torque.
The battery for the Ultra and GT has been standardised to a 57.7kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) type and can provide up to 480km (NEDC) of range.

Previously, the 400 Pro featured a 47.7kWh (LFP) that's good for up to 400km (NEDC) of range, while the 63.1kWh ternary lithium battery for the 500 Ultra provided up to 500km (NEDC) of range.
Regardless, charging the new battery from 0% to 80% now takes 54 minutes via a fast 60kW DC charger or 30% to 80% in about 38 minutes.

A slower 6.6kW AC charger will fully charge the flat battery in about nine hours.
For safety, both Ultra and GT come with a standard inclusion of six airbags, 360-degree view camera system with transparent chassis, hill-start assist, tyre pressure monitoring system, traction control, and emergency signal system.
Further bolstering safety is Level 2 advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) that includes a three-type integrated Intelligent parking system, automatic reversing assistance, traffic jam assist, automatic emergency braking with intersection and pedestrian, and front collision warning.

Also included are emergency braking at low speed, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, lane centre keeping, emergency lane keeping, cornering brake control, wisdom dodge system, lane change assist, rear collision warning, rear cross traffic alert with braking, second collision mitigation, and traffic sign recognition with speed alarm.
Meanwhile, GWM Malaysia managing director Cui Anqi said Malaysia is one of GWM’s most dynamic and promising markets in Southeast Asia.
"In just three years, we have built a strong foundation of trust, innovation, and local engagement. Moving forward, we are committed to deepening localisation, expanding our product lineup, and enhancing the ownership experience," he said.
