Hyundai Motor Malaysia and Selangor FC kick off mobility partnership

KUALA LUMPUR: Hyundai Motor Malaysia (HMY) and Selangor FC have formalised their collaboration, with Hyundai supporting the club’s mobility needs through its luxurious Staria MPV (multi-purpose vehicle).

The collaboration kicked off with the recent signing of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) and the official handover of the Staria, at Menara Affin, Tun Razak Exchange.

The ceremony was officiated with the signing by Hyundai Motor Malaysia president Eric Lee and Selangor FC CEO Dr Johan Kamal Hamidon, witnessed by Raja Muda of Selangor Tengku Amir Shah Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah who is also Selangor FC chairman, alongside Hyundai Motor Malaysia managing director Jahabarnisa Haja Mohideen.

The MOU signing puts into motion Hyundai’s role as Selangor FC’s official mobility partner.

The Staria will serve as the club’s official team vehicle.

The partnership has already made its first appearance during Selangor FC’s opening match of the season against JDT, with Hyundai branding on team polo t-shirts.

Fans can look forward to seeing this presence expand across training jerseys and matchday experiences in the months ahead.

More importantly, the collaboration goes beyond brand presence; it connects a global vision with local passion by creating experiences that bring fans, players, and communities closer together.

“Globally, Hyundai’s belief in evolving alongside sport and its communities is reflected through decades of investment in football. Our involvement goes beyond performance, it’s about
people, stories, and progress," said Jahabarnisa.

"Football reflects resilience, teamwork and unity, values that mirror our own. Here in Malaysia, this vision takes on a greater meaning as we join hands with Selangor FC, a club whose legacy and ambition embody the very spirit of our brand vision Progress for Humanity,” she added.
