KUALA LUMPUR: Modenas, through its distributor Edaran Modenas Sdn Bhd (EMOS), has launched the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4RR and ZX-4R SE.
This expands the Ninja range with a premium middleweight supersport, powered by a high-revving inline-four engine.
Both models are built around a 399cc liquid-cooled inline four-cylinder DOHC engine, producing 57kW at 14,500rpm, rising to 58.7kW with Ram Air.
The ZX-4 platform is designed to deliver the distinctive sound and character of Kawasaki’s supersport lineage while maintaining everyday usability.
The Ninja ZX-4R SE is positioned as the more road-focused option, tuned for daily commuting and spirited weekend riding, combining sharp handling with a more comfort-oriented setup.
The ZX-4RR, meanwhile, targets riders with track ambitions, featuring fully adjustable Showa suspension, including a Showa BFRC-lite rear shock derived from Kawasaki’s flagship supersport models, along with additional front suspension adjustability.
Both variants are equipped with a dual-direction Kawasaki Quick Shifter, high-tensile steel trellis frame, and an electronics package that includes Kawasaki Traction Control (KTRC), ABS, selectable power modes, and a TFT display.
Visually, both bikes follow Kawasaki’s aggressive Ninja styling with aerodynamic bodywork and full LED lighting.
The ZX-4R SE is offered in Metallic Moondusty Gray/Metallic Spark Black and Blizzard White/Spark Black, while the ZX-4RR comes exclusively in Lime Green/Ebony.
The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4RR is priced at RM42,999, with the ZX-4R SE at RM40,999, excluding insurance and registration.
Both models are now available at authorised Kawasaki All-Star dealerships nationwide.
