GUANGZHOU, China: The new Leapmotor A10, unveiled recently in Guangzhou, is billed as delivering flagship-level intelligence, best-in-segment EV (electric vehicle) range, flexible space, and global quality that redefines what a compact SUV (sport utlity vehicle) can be.
It is the first model developed on Leapmotor's new global A platform.
Named the B03X for markets outside China, it is positioned as a smart, compact, versatile and premium long-range SUV.
Leapmotor says the A10 is designed to break three dilemmas - that premium must mean expensive, small cars must be low-tech, and compact dimensions must sacrifice space.
The A10 introduces a purpose-built EV architecture with an exceptional interior space.
The SUV measures over 4,200mm in length, 1,800mm in width, and 1,600mm in height, with a wheelbase exceeding 2,600mm.
The A10 offers door-to-door advanced driver assistance, an AI (artificial intelligence)-powered cockpit, and full OTA (over the air) updates throughout the vehicle lifecycle.
Range can be up to 500km (CLTC), thanks to a ultra-high-density LFP battery.
The exterior design features six global colours, 18-inch sporty alloys, semi-hidden door handles, a floating roof, and an emotional “smile” lighting signature.
