SHAH ALAM: A delegation of leading express bus operators from Malaysia and Singapore recently gained first-hand insights into MAN’s engineering expertise, manufacturing excellence and future mobility technologies.
They had joined a specially curated seven-day visit to the German commercial vehicle maker’s facilities in Germany and Türkiye.
The programme took the operators to MAN headquarters in Munich, its manufacturing facility in Nuremberg and its rapidly growing bus and coach production plant in Ankara, Türkiye.
Beyond showcasing MAN’s latest technologies and production capabilities, the visit offered customers a closer look at the engineering, quality standards and customer-focused approach underpinning the MAN brand.

Through technical presentations, factory tours and direct engagement with senior management and technical experts, the delegation explored the latest safety systems for drivers, passengers and pedestrians, digital connectivity and fleet management solutions, battery-electric bus technologies and emerging mobility concepts.
For these key bus operators who have already invested in MAN coaches, the experience offered a deeper appreciation of the heritage of the brand and technology and manufacturing processes behind their vehicles and the support available to keep their businesses moving.
“This visit was a great opportunity not only to show our customers MAN’s production facilities, but also for our Sales and Engineering teams to hear the voice of the customer directly. These fruitful exchanges will help us with our further development in the Asian region,” said MAN Malaysia head of bus Anvar Kasimov.
MAN Malaysia managing director Marc Appelt said the initiative reflected the company’s commitment to building lasting customer relationships through transparency, engagement and reliable support.

“We offer premium, technologically advanced bus and coach chassis that combine performance, passenger comfort, fuel efficiency, reliability and sustainability with dependable aftersales support and predictable operating costs.
“We are pleased to see more Malaysian bus operators recognising the value that MAN brings to their businesses,” he said.
Pancaran Matahari Travel & Tours Sdn Bhd executive chairman Mohd Kaharuddin bin Salleh said the visit had reinforced his confidence in MAN, particularly through the opportunity to witness its manufacturing capabilities up close.
“The highlight for me was visiting MAN’s modern bus manufacturing facility in Ankara and having the opportunity to test-drive some of the advanced buses produced there. Seeing the technology and production processes first-hand gave me a greater appreciation of what goes into building a MAN vehicle,” he said.
