KUALA LUMPUR: The upcoming Nissan Serena e-Power hybrid MPV (multi-purpose vehicle) will be highlighted by the Apa-e? campaign, which is to increase awareness of the fuel saving technology.
The e-Power system is 100% electric motor-driven.
It utilises a dedicated petrol engine to only generate energy to charge its Li-ion battery pack and to power the electric motor when required.
This technology offers instant torque and responsive performance just like an EV (electric vehicle), but without range anxiety and the need to plug in and charge.
Compared to an ICE (internal combustion engine)-powered vehicle, the e-Power system has lower tailpipe emissions and running costs.
It utilises regenerative braking to reclaim energy and even offers the convenience of single-pedal driving which EVs are known for.
The Apa-e? campaign will drive understanding of the e-Power system, before the eventual launch of the new Nissan Serena e-Power – the second e-Power model to be introduced in Malaysia after the Nissan Kicks e-Power in December 2024.
“We initiated the latest Apa-e? campaign to further engage the public through our social media platforms and radio stations with a tune and video that’s fun, energetic and relatable to all Malaysians. It reflects on what e-Power is at its core – an innovative technology that’s affordable, fuel-saving and makes driving fun again,” said Edaran Tan Chong Motor Sdn Bhd executive vice president Christopher Tan.
Catch the Apa-e? video from Jan 7, 2026 onwards on Nissan Malaysia’s Facebook, X and TikTok channels, as well as the Apa-e? radio commercial on ERA, Hitz, Lite, Hot FM and MY radio stations.
