Suzuki, Flux runs Merdeka campaign rates to celebrate partnership

PETALING JAYA: Suzuki Cars Malaysia's latest models can now be found on Flux's listing.

That means you'll be able to find the likes of the crossover Fronx and four-wheel drive (4WD) Jimny AllGrip Plus on the vehicle subscription platform.

Coinciding with Malaysia's 69th Merdeka celebration, Flux is also offering an exclusive rate to commemorate the occasion and mark the launch of the partnership.

Valid until Sept 6 this year, subscribers are given a 69% discount on the first and last month’s subscription for selected 24- to 36-month subscription plans.

That puts the Fronx and Jimny AllGrip Plus' first and last month’s subscription price (under the 36-month subscription plan) at RM690 and RM1,016 respectively - standard price is RM2,225 and RM3,278 for the rest of the months.

This gives savings of up to RM3,070 for the Fronx and RM4,524 for the Jimny AllGrip Plus under the 36-month subscription rate.

The collaboration aims to increase awareness of vehicle subscription as an alternative mobility solution, expand Suzuki’s presence within Malaysia’s growing mobility ecosystem, and support the rollout of the initial subscription fleet by utilising selected Suzuki vehicles made available through the Flux platform.

Naza Automotive Group chief executive officer Rizal Jailan commented that they were creating another pathway for customers to experience the Suzuki brand by combining the Japanese automaker's trusted products with Flux’s innovative subscription platform.

This pathway he says during the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) will extend to the showroom floor, with Flux placed within Naza Eastern Motors dealerships so that walk-in customers can learn how subscription works.

“Not every customer who visits a Suzuki showroom is ready for a traditional purchase, and that conversation should not have to end there.

“While vehicle ownership remains an important aspiration for many Malaysians, we are seeing a growing demand for mobility solutions that are more flexible, convenient and better suited to different lifestyles.

“With Flux in our dealerships, our teams can walk a customer through exactly how a subscription works and help them decide what suits their circumstances. It gives our customers a second path to drive away by either buying or subscribing — and either way, they remain part of the Suzuki family," said Rizal.

Flux CEO Aziz Ayman expanded on the matter saying that this makes it the perfect time to launch the collaboration between the two as the new offering takes everything that makes having a car complicated — the loan, the insurance, the road tax, the maintenance, the depreciation — and replaces it with one monthly fee and the freedom to change as life does.

This according to Aziz allows subscribers to focus on the best part which is having an iconic Suzuki and the drive while Flux handles the rest.

He added that market research shows more than 60% of Malaysian car buyers are now open to a subscription instead of a loan.

"That is no longer a niche. That is the direction of the market.

“The way Malaysians think about cars is changing faster than the industry that sells them. People stream their entertainment, subscribe to their software, and expect flexibility in everything they pay for.

“This move makes one of Malaysia’s most-loved badges more accessible by removing the financial barriers to ownership.

"With no down payment, no annual insurance premiums, and no surprise maintenance bills, subscribers can enjoy a Suzuki hassle-free — without any long-term financial commitment," he concluded..
