PETALING JAYA: The contest winners from the "BHPetrol Win RM300,000" campaign recently received their prizes at a ceremony held at Royale Chulan Damansara Hotel, Petaling Jaya.
The contest which was held from January 20 till March 31, 2019 saw tremendous response from the public with close to two million entries received.
The contest offered cash prizes of up to RM300,000 to 104 lucky BHPetrol customers.
The grand prize was RM100,000 while the first, second and third runner-up won RM50,000; RM30,000 and RM20,000 respectively.
The remaining 100 winners won RM1,000 each.
Contest winners who are BHPetrol eCard members were also given up to 700,000 bonus ePoints which they can use to redeem attractive items including fuel.
"I am sure this promotion has attracted many loyal and new customers to pump our best Infiniti fuels. We hope they will continue to visit BHPetrol stations to refuel or to grab something at BHPetromart convenience stores," said BHPetrol managing director Tan Kim Thiam.
To enter the contest, BHPetrol station customers needed to buy a minimum of RM30 of fuels, answer two simple questions and submit the entry forms.
The grand prize winner was 40-year-old spare parts dealer Loo Beng Hong from Kota Baru, Kelantan.
"I travel a lot and my monthly petrol expenses are very high. I always refuel at BHPetrol and enjoy the rewards of being a eCard member," said Loo.
Meanwhile, the first prize winner was unable to make it to the prize giving ceremony.
The second prize was won by 47-year-old taxi driver Zahari Osman from Balai Panjang, Malacca who said he found using BHPetrol fuels resulted in lower fuel consumption.
The third prize winner was 47-year-old foreman Low Boh Chung from Bahau, Negeri Sembilan who is also a loyal BHPetrol customer.
"The BHPetrol station is near my house and I also find the petrol to offer more power and better fuel economy," said Low.
