Winners got the gold coins which were specially embossed with BHPetrol’s signature service station and 60th Merdeka motif.
The contest was held from May 15 to July 31 and open to customers who pumped a minimum of RM30 of petrol or Euro 5 diesel.
They were given a tissue box which contained an entry form. More than two million entries were collected for the contest.
In presenting the gold coins to the winners, BHPetrol managing director K.T. Tan said contest was part of the company’s efforts to reward loyal customers and to celebrate the 60th Merdeka day.
Also present at the prize giving was BHPetrol general manager (Supply, Retail and Government Public Affairs) Azizul Azily Ahmad.
The company’s previous gold coin contest was held 10 years ago during the 50th Merdeka Day celebration.
The company also announced that it has tied-up with Touch N Go to provide a free RM3 E-voucer with every RM50 reload at BHPetrol outlets. The promotion runs from Aug 30 to Sept 30.
Among the prizes worth up to RM50,000 up for grabs were petrol, and Touch N Go cards, watches and SmarTags.
