MUNICH: The big car boys are embracing electric vehicles like there's no tomorrow. In recent days, we have been hearing Audi with its e-tron, Mercedes with its EQC and Porsche with its Taycan.

And now BMW is the latest to show it has the goods to run with its peers. In its continuing push towards electromobility, BMW has been teasing the Vision iNEXT electric car that will do battle with the Tesla Model 3.

BMW has also released short video clips of its new electric sedan that offered a glimpse of its shape and the design process.

As the name clearly suggests, the Vision iNEXT is still a concept for now, and production is probably two years away for a car that will offer a 480km range, which is around the ballpark figure other EV makers have bandied around.
