SHAH ALAM: UMW Toyota Motor kicked off the year by announcing immediate order-taking of the Vios, which sees exterior and interior upgrades for 2018 as Toyota seeks to fend off further erosion of sales from the highly successful Honda City.
With the 2018 Vios, Toyota is going on the offensive, offering new aerokit styling and a more premium interior. It is also introducing new accessories such as front & rear parking sensors, shark fin antenna, and illuminated scuff plates.
Toyota touts the Vios as the first model in its segment to have the full parking sensors and this item will be offered as standard for TRD, GX and G variants. A new DVD-AVX entertainment system with enhanced features is also available for the Vios and it is offered with a reverse camera as standard for all variants except Vios J (manual) and J (automatic).
Existing items such as panoramic view monitor and digital video recorder are still offered on top of the new accessories.
As before, there are six variants to choose from with prices starting from RM74,980 (excluding insurance, for private registration in Peninsular Malaysia). All the variants of the Vios qualify as Energy Efficient Vehicles.
Like all the latest Toyota models, the Vios comes with a five-year warranty and unlimited mileage. If the vehicle is sold off within the first five years, the warranty coverage will also be available to the next owner.
