PUTRAJAYA: Car wash services are among three business activities that have been given the green light to operate from Feb 5.
The other two are pasar malam (night market traders) and hair salons.
However, the operators and their customers must abide by strict standard operating procedure, said Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
The Senior Minister (Security) said that the decision was made after discussions with health authorities and the relevant ministries and agencies.
He said the Health Ministry had evaluated the risks of allowing these businesses to resume, including determining if there were clusters that had emerged from these sectors.
"After discussing this and after finding that there were no clusters resulting from these activities, the National Security Council has agreed to allow these three activities to resume," he said today.
