KUALA LUMPUR: Naza Euro Motors, the official distributor of the French brand in Malaysia, has launched its seven-seater multipurpose vehicle for the family – the Citroën Grand C4 SpaceTourer.

Being the Grand C4 Picasso’s replacement, the new SpaceTourer’s design, comfort and latest-generation technologies is touted as being modern, user-friendly and family-oriented.

The SpaceTourer is currently priced at RM149,888 on-the-road without insurance with four colour choices of Ruby Red, Lazuli Blue, Onyx Black and Polar White.

For a limited time, it comes with a three-year free service on top of the usual five-year or 120,000km Peace-of-mind warranty that has been bundled with a 24-hour Roadside Assistance and exclusive Sky Lounge access at Subang Skypark.

Powering the New Grand C4 SpaceTourer is a 1.6 Turbo High Pressure engine that produces 167PS and 240Nm of torque at 1,400 rpm, which gets managed by a six-speed automatic transmission to help it return 5.8 litres per 100km on the combined cycle.

The exterior of the Citroën Grand C4 SpaceTourer possesses a sweeping windscreen and low-sloping hood along with the a Chevron emblem that connects the headlights.

The slim headlights comprise of a pair of directional Bi-Xenon headlights with manual height adjustment and daytime-running lights.

Below the front bumper, the fog lamps are surrounded by chrome, while the rear fogs are encased within the bumper’s 3D lights.

From the side, the 17-inch Boa alloy rims and sculpted shoulder lines give this MPV its chiselled profile.

Inside, the SpaceTourer’s cabin gets a Hype Grey ambience as 12-inch HD color panoramic central display - the largest in the MPV segment takes up residence on the centre dashboard with 7.0-inch touchscreen nestled beneath. Standard connectivity includes Android Auto, Apple Carplay, Mirrorlink and a USB port.

As for amenities, the Spacetourer gets an automatic electric parking brake, electric power steering, 12V socket in the central storage and rear aircraft-style tables with LEDs.

There are also under-floor compartments, removable central storage box and compartments all around the vehicle for added practicality.

The second and third row seats can be retracted to expand the boot’s volume from 632 to 2,181 litres, before the motorized hands-free tailgate with height memory closes and opens with just a wiggle of the foot beneath the rear bumper.

For safety, the Spacetourer is equipped with driver’s assistance systems that include Active Safety Brake, Speed Limit Recognition and Driver Attention Alert.

The Active Safety Brake works at speeds of 30kph and stops the car from imminent collision, while the Speed Limit Recognition helps the driver comply with the legal speed by recognizing the signs and relaying it to the driver via the instrument panel.

The Driver Attention Alert, on the other hand, is a safety system in place to detect a drowsy driver and assist the driver to stay alert by using sensors on the steering wheel.

Additionally, the SpaceTourer has standard safety equipment of six airbags, antilock braking system, with electronic brakeforce distribution, emergency braking assistance, electronic stability control with traction control, automatic handbrake and hill start assist function, interior child monitoring mirror, driver attention alert and three ISOFIX child seat mounts on the second row.
