Nissan described the new X-Trail as "a bold evolution of the intrepid crossover" that has been around for 22 years.
The fourth-generation X-Trail made its first appearance at the 2021 Auto Shanghai and went on sale immediately in China.
It was only launched in Japan in July 2022 and is only available there with the e-Power series hybrid powertrain with optional e-4orce electric four-wheel drive, and optional three-row seating.
The X-Trail to be sold in Europe would similarly come with e-4orce and e-Power, priming it for electrified family adventures.
