NEW YORK: The New York International Auto Show has just released a video of the show floor experience, shot entirely with drones. The filming is among the largest indoor drone photo shoot ever, covering nearly one million square feet.

The video was shot prior to Friday's public sneak preview and features a bird's-eye-view of the nearly 1,000 vehicles on display.

"We're always looking for new ways to highlight the excitement of the Auto Show," said show chairman John LaSorsa. "Using drones helps capture the experience of the show and bring it to life outside the walls of the convention centre.  It's also a great way for us to showcase the innovative spirit of the Show and its exhibitors.

The footage was shot from a custom designed drone with 12-inch rotors. It housed a 15mm super speed wide angle cine lens shooting at 4K - twice the resolution of HD.

The video is a sweeping view of the show experience and is a must-see for car fans everywhere.

The show runs from April 3 - 12 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in Manhattan.
