German bike accessories maker Touratech set to expand in Malaysia

PETALING JAYA: Touratech, a global German brand, is going big in Malaysia. Touratech offers adventure and touring motorcycle parts and accessories such as riding apparels, panniers, top cases, crash bars, skid plates, headlight guards, dry bags and many more.

From June 1, Touratech products are available at Route 77 centre here, taking up 2,000 sq ft of space and giving biking fans plenty to browse through.

Touratech Malaysia CEO Tony Lim said exciting times are ahead for Touratech Malaysia as the company would be able to better serve its customers in the new facility.

“Touratech has been around in Malaysia for the last seven years and we have built a strong customer relationship over the years. Now the time has come for me to take it to the next level.”

Route 77 co-founder Ronny Khoo is looking forward to the partnership between Route 77 and Touratech Malaysia.

"Route 77 is well-prepared to assist any touring and adventure motorcycle owners with accessories, repairs, service and technical advice,” he said.

Route 77, which specialises in Harley Davidson aftermarket parts and accessories, is opening another outlet in Ampang, Kuala Lumpur, to meet the growing business needs. The 8,000 sq ft facility in Ampang is scheduled to be operational from Aug 1.

Touratech Malaysia plans to open more shops nationwide within three years, including outlets in Sabah and Sarawak.

For a start, Touratech Malaysia is planning to open an outlet in Penang serving the northern market by the end of the year.
