New Honda CR-V off to good start

PETALING JAYA: Honda Malaysia's facelifted CR-V sports utility vehicle has seen a 180% increase in bookings within a month of its official launch in November.

The bookings have also exceeded expectations, of which more than 1,700 units had been snapped up.

The refreshed CR-V was launched with three upgraded variants, namely 2.0L 2WD, 1.5L TC-P 2WD and 1.5L TC-P 4WD.

Pricing starts from RM139,912.

The 1.5L TC-P 2WD is the most popular choice among customers, contributing 46% to the total booking.

The Central region secured the highest number of new CR-V buyers, accounting for 45% of the total booking.

The Southern region and Northern region came next with 20% and 19% contribution to the booking respectively.

Dark Olive Metallic is the most preferred colour, translating into 30% of the total booking.

To-date, more than 1,300 units of the new CR-V have been delivered to customers nationwide.

Honda Malaysia has given an assurance that customers would receive their units in a timely manner.

Honda Malaysia managing director and chief executive officer Toichi Ishiyama said the new CR-V was the ideal SUV for customers, especially families and professionals who have a discerning taste for SUV with top-notch specifications.

"As an all-in-one SUV, the new CR-V is able to fulfil customers’ demand with its complete package that consists of a full suite of Honda Sensing safety features, Honda LaneWatch, dynamic performance with 4WD system as well as spacious and comfortable cabin."

"“In addition, the sales tax exemption introduced by the Malaysian Government which is ongoing until Dec 31 has also provided a timely opportunity for customers to purchase Honda cars with added benefit. Customers are welcome to test drive the New CR-V at any nearby Honda dealership," he said.

Further enhanced with tough and modern exterior design, the new CR-V has a new Black Grille combined with Honda Signature LED Headlights and new Front Bumper with new Wing-style Chrome Fascia.

The new CR-V is also packed with advanced features that deliver exceptional driving experience.

The Remote Engine Start, a new feature that allows drivers to start the engine with the press of a button on the smart key and at the same time, turns on the air conditioning from outside without unlocking the car.
