PETALING JAYA: Grab Malaysia has introduced a Trip Planner function on its app to help users plan their journey by providing Suggested Routes with real-time public transport information and estimated travel time.

When users click on one of the Suggested Routes, it will display information such as walking distance, train platform location and number of stops.

The Trip Planner also has a feature that allows users to set their own departure and arrival times or check out the last bus or train transportation options for the day.

There is also a tab that alerts users about disruptions and affected services. It will also suggest an option to take a Grab ride by providing the estimated fare and travel duration.

This is part of Grab’s plan to widen the usage of its app which is mostly utilised for ride-hailing, by creating a “super app” with multiple services.

Grab is having an event tomorrow, most likely to announce other features like ticketing and hotel booking which it expects to implement in a few months.

Recently, the company integrated the Grab Food delivery app into the main Grab app.
