Homegrown entrepreneur wins 2016 Fuso Diamond grand prize

PUCHONG: It certainly was a night to remember for 2016 Fuso Diamond Grand Prize winner, Noraini Abdul Haris of I Aini Brilliance Enterprise.

The first-time Fuso brand customer and homegrown entrepreneur took home the coveted grand prize of a Mercedes-Benz C200, a all-expenses paid trip to Japan, and service vouchers worth RM6,000.

“Everyday, our customers put their trust in their Fuso vehicles to help their business thrive. The Fuso Diamond Contest is our way of thanking them for their trust, loyalty and support. For the 2016/2017 contest, we received 2,363 entries. We congratulate all winners, and we look forward to continue engaging our customers by delivering reliable trucks and unparallel service quality,” said Mercedes-Benz Malaysia Commercial Vehicles vice president Albert Yee.

This year marked the 4th year of the Fuso Diamond Contest organised by Mercedes-Benz Malaysia Commercial Vehicles (MBM CV), the authorised distributor of Fuso trucks in Malaysia.

The contest comprised of a mini draw, which received 885 entries, held in July 2016, and culminated with the grand final draw, which received an additional 1,478 entries.

Noraini's winning entry was randomly drawn from a pool of entries comprising Fuso customers nationwide.

The homegrown entrepreneur, who operates a logistics business with her husband, was pleasantly surpised by the rewarding outcome that resulted from her decision to purchase their first Fuso truck nine months ago.

“The nature of our business involves us transporting goods based on rental services. We need our trucks to be in working order at all times and this is why we were convinced by Fuso’s track record,” said Noraini.

“Keeping our trucks working smoothly is important to help us meet our customers’ needs, and in turn help grow our business. We decided to go for a Fuso truck because it gave us value for money and we believe the after-sales service is very reliable,” said Noraini.

26 other lucky winners also took home attractive prizes during the gala dinner.

The first, second, third and fourth prize winners each took home an all-expenses paid trip to Japan, which includes a visit to the Fuso Kawasaki Plant and Research & Development Center, as well as service vouchers worth RM5,000, RM4,000, RM3,000 and RM2,000 respectively.

Additionally, 10 more lucky Fuso customers took home a consolation prize of service vouchers worth RM2,000 each, while 12 other lucky Fuso customers each received service vouchers worth RM1,000.

MBM CV caters to the medium-range commercial vehicle market segment through its Fuso trucks which includes light, medium and heavy-duty trucks.

The Fuso light duty trucks (FE71PB, FE83PE, FE83PG, FE85PG, FG83PE [4X4]) are commonly used for short distance distribution, inter-state logistic transportation and tipper operations, while the medium duty trucks (FM65FJ, FM65FN) are used as compactor trucks, roll-on-roll-off trucks, tankers and for long distance logistics. FUSO heavy-duty trucks (FN62FM) are commonly used in quarry sites and also as tipper trucks.

MBM CV recorded a total of 2,612 vehicles sold in 2016 comprising Fuso light duty and heavy duty trucks as well as Mercedes-Benz trucks and vans.

There is a nationwide network of 55 Fuso dealers and 45 Fuso service facilities.
